Timidclopses are small Cyclopses who are first encountered at Crystal Eye Castle in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. They attack the Skylanders by pushing explosive barrels down long ramps. As their name suggests, Timidclopses are very timid and easily frightened. If chased, some may even resort to jumping over ledges to escape, and others will hide behind barrels.

In Skylanders: Giants, Timidclopses return in Kaos' Kastle and the Lost City of Arkus, remaining mostly unchanged. However, they are never formally introduced. Additionally, some will roll down metal-spiked barrels that cannot be broken and must be dodged or jumped over.

Trivia

• Timidclopses are not introduced in the Wii version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, despite making an appearance.
• In Giants, unlike every other non-boss enemy in the game, all of whom die instantly if they fall out of the levels they are in, Timidclopses will respawn in their initial positions if pushed off the map (this is the only way to make them fall off without them jumping off).
• In Giants, they and Spider Spitters are the only non-Autogyro/War-Machine section-exclusive enemies to not have an introduction.
• They are the only enemies in the series to intentionally commit suicide by jumping off the map.
• The Official Strategy Guide for Spyro's Adventure claims that Timidclopses deal 36 damage and give 32 XP, which is actually the data for Cyclops Chuckers.
• In Skylanders: Giants, Timidclopses wear darker blue robes, similar to the Mini-Clopses from Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.
• In early versions of Giants, Timidclopses are replaced by rotating boxes that emit explosive barrels.^[1]
• Timidclopses appear in Skylanders: Trap Team’s files, along with Blaze Brewers. However, they were replaced with Eye Screams in the final game.
