Power Stats are special stats listed on the Skylanders website and on the cards that came with figures of Skylanders from Spyro's Adventure to Trap Team, and the stickers that came with SuperChargers. They are cosmetic only and not used in any of the Skylanders games. The console games use their own set of stats, whereas the 3DS game doesn't use stats at all. The webgame, Skylanders: Universe, used stats with similar names and icons, but different values.
Skylanders: Imaginators
In Skylanders: Imaginators, they have replaced Console Stats entirely, and appear to correspond to the same attributes. Unlike prior games, these stats affect the Skylander during gameplay. They also have slightly different names than the previous games.
According to the DarkSpyro website[1] and a YouTube video by Legends of Skylands[2]:
- Attack increases the power of attacking moves by one percent per stat point.[1] An 8 point bullet from a 19 attack Quickshot becomes a 32 point bullet at 364 attack.[2]
- Armor increases the chance that damage against the Skylander will be nullified.[1] At ~250 the chance of blocking the damage from a hit is around 17%. A blocked attack will show a
instead of a damage number.[2] - Speed boosts the movement speed of the Skylander.[1] A 328 speed Quickshot can run ~11% faster than a 35 speed Quickshot.[2]
- Luck increases the amount of gold acquired upon pickup by 0.5% per stat point.[1] Very high luck (200+) can double gold acquisition. Unfortunately, it doesn't increase critical hit chances at all, and is not known to make them stronger either.[2]
However, Elemental Power still exists as a mechanic and is still improved by having more unique Skylanders of the same element, however the exact value is not found in game.[1]
Unlike prior console games in which only health increases on level up, all the stats increase as the Skylander levels up. For Skylanders introduced prior to Skylanders: Imaginators, stats increase by the same amount for all of them between level 1 and level 20: Health by 200%, Attack by 50, Armor by 25, Speed by 30, and Luck by 20. Senseis have their stats increase by a set amount depending on the Sensei over 20 levels, while Imaginators have their stats increase based on the Battle Class they're a part of.[1]
Trivia
- Many fans mistakenly assume the Power Stats in older games to be reflective of a Skylander's performance in the game, despite numerous sources indicating them to be only cosmetic and sometimes entirely different from their real stats.
