Console Stats, referred to simply as Stats in-game, are numerical values possessed by every Skylander in the console versions of the first five Skylanders games. These stats affect multiple facets of gameplay, with each Skylander having a distinct combination of stats that help distinguish them from the others. A Skylander’s stats, as well as any outside stat boosts, can be viewed in the Stats screen.
Overview
In the console versions of the various Skylanders games, gaining levels only increases a Skylander’s maximum health. To permanently increase the other stats, individual Skylanders have to complete Heroic Challenges. The stat increases from these challenges are saved to the figure, allowing for their effect to carry across different games and consoles. Some Skylanders also have specific upgrades that increase a certain stat.
There are multiple methods of non-permanently altering a Skylander’s stats. Charms, Legendary Treasures, and Portal Master Powers grant stat increases to every Skylander, but are only applied while playing in the titles they originated from. Hats likewise grant stat increases and are saved to the figure, but an individual hat cannot be used in a game released before the one the hat originated in. Increasing the number of Skylanders figures scanned into the in-game Collection also confers a stat increase, but while the stat boost is limited to the title the figures were scanned into, the physical nature of the toys a player owns allows them to be scanned into other titles as well. There are also methods of applying modifiers to certain stats that are not listed as changes in the stats screen, such as the Luck-O-Tron, select Portal Master Powers, Magic Items, in-game items, and even some attacks.
Skylanders: Imaginators, despite also being a home console game, does not make use of Console Stats. Instead, they are replaced by Power Stats, which grow as a Skylander increases in level.
Types of Stats
- Level: Affects how much health a Skylander has. This stat is increased by collecting experience points. The maximum level is 10 in Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, 15 in Skylanders: Giants and 20 in Skylanders: Swap Force, Trap Team, Superchargers, and Imaginators.
- If a Skylander’s level exceeds a given game’s maximum value (for example, raising a Skylander’s level to 20 in Swap Force, then playing with it in Spyro’s Adventure), its level will be temporarily lowered to the game’s maximum level. The Skylander’s actual level will remain at the highest level reached in Swap Force and the later games.
- Health: How much damage a Skylander can take before it needs to rest. It is the most important statistic.[1]
- Health is the only Console Stat that is increased when the Skylander gains a level, with a maximum of twice the starting health at level 10 and triple at level 20.
- Speed: How fast a Skylander can move.
- Armor: This stat reflects the chance of blocking all damage from an enemy attack. When an attack is blocked, a
will show instead of a damage number.
- 3 points of armor increase this chance by +1%.(Prism Break and some others can get armor from upgrades.)
- Critical Hit: The chance a Skylander has to deal 1.5x damage with an attack. When an attack is critical, a ! will show next to the damage number.
- 5 points of critical hit increase this chance by +1%.
- In Skylanders: Superchargers, this stat is instead called Critical Hit % and represents the percent chance an individual attack has of dealing critical damage. It is mechanically identical to the Critical Hit stat, but with the displayed value divided by 5 for ease of understanding.
- Elemental Power: Throughout the Skylands, certain zones have favored elements. If you are using a Skylander of that element in one of these zones, they get bonus damage based on how high their Elemental Power.[1] 1 point of Elemental Power increases the bonus damage by 1%.
- All Skylanders start with 25 Elemental Power and get a +7 bonus for each Skylander of the same element added to the player's Collection. Combined with the bonuses from Heroic Challenges, the maximum EP they can get can exceed 100.
- Heroics: How many Heroic Challenges a Skylander has completed. This stat has no gameplay effects.
- Hero Level: The level a Skylander has in the webgame. Despite displaying in the console games’ Stat screens, this value is unused in the console games.
